Introduction:

Rotaract Club of Balaju and Rotaract Club of Chitwan jointly organized Donation Program at Hamro Ghar on the occasion of Holi. “Hamro Ghar” is a local Street Children Rehabilitation Centre situated at NarayanGadh, Chitwan. Rotaract Club of Balaju and Rotaract Club of Chitwan jointly donated Drawing Copies and Colors to the children there. Hamro Ghar has become a shelter for 14-17 Street Children who are no more on Street. Children from pre-primary level to secondary school live there. A day prior to the project we visited the venue and asked them their need. As their necessity, we distributed them the materials. At the same time we also celebrated Holi with the Children there.

Objectives:

The objectives of this program are:

·      To build fellowship between two different Clubs of different zone.

·      To distribute education materials to the children there and celebrate festival with them.

·      To celebrate initiation of Rotaract Week as well.

Program Structure:

The program was organized to develop fellowship between two clubs as well as get closer to those socially neglected children. A day prior to the project we visited Hamro Ghar to ask them what they needed. As per their instruction we provided them with the Drawing Copies and Colors. At first we donated the stuffs to them and after that played Holi with the children there.

 Conclusion:

We wanted to reach to the community of those street children who had a dark childhood but now are in a shelter. They have a mother there and many children constitute a family. At “Hamro Ghar” we not only met some those children but also collected beautiful memory. It was our attempt to widen our arena of Rotaractivity. With a very old Club, we also had a good fellowship and were able to mark a good time there.
